Objectives

The European Garage Equipment Association was formed in 1980, with the objective of harmonising where possible the widely differing national garage equipment standards across Europe and seeking closer co-ordination among those responsible for the various safety and environmental regulations. EGEA seeks to promote a unity of purpose amongst its members both manufacturers and importers in their various fields of interest. In the pursuit of increased quality, safety and efficiency, it also endeavours to establish common standards in the design, construction, installation and operation of garage equipment and to facilitate the exchange of information on existing and proposed European and national standards.
