07/05/2025 – Marcin Barankiewicz Elected as CITA Corporate Member Delegate

The 24th General Assembly and International Conference of CITA (International Motor Vehicle Inspection Committee) is taking place from May 6th to 8th, 2025, in Istanbul. During the event, Marcin Barankiewicz was elected by the corporate members of CITA to serve as the Corporate Member Delegate.

Marcin Barankiewicz brings extensive experience in the automotive sector, particularly in the field of vehicle compliance and periodic technical inspections (PTI). He previously served as Chairman of the Board of the Polish Chamber of Motor Vehicle Inspection Bodies (2020–2024). Currently, he is the Secretary General of the European Garage Equipment Association (EGEA). He actively contributes to technical and regulatory developments in this role, representing equipment manufacturers and distributors across Europe.

As an EGEA delegate, he participates in the Informal Working Group on PTI and supports joint initiatives between CITA and EGEA within the Civil Society Cluster of the Advisory Group on Vehicle Emission Standards. His work focuses on advancing high technical standards, environmental protection, and road safety.

“I am honoured by the trust placed in me by the CITA members. As Corporate Member Delegate, I will promote harmonised and evidence-based PTI frameworks and strengthen collaboration among key stakeholders further,” said Marcin Barankiewicz following the announcement.
